Aluminum was once the most popular metal roofing in our area, but since it is a soft metal, it doesn't stand up well to hail impact.  Even steel roofing can be damaged by hail if it is a thinner gauge.  But Kassel & Irons roofing is manufactured using a very heavy gauge steel. It's Kynar coating protects the finish color.  And the manufacturing process creates such a variation in surface texture that even if your roof were to be hit by a hailstone the size of a baseball you could barely detect the point of impact.
